Performance Excellence Project Manager
Under the direction of the Performance Excellence Administrator, this position is responsible for planning, managing and monitoring all aspects of most projects throughout the project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change. In addition, this position is responsible for the management of projects that may range from singular department impact to cross-functional departmental impact, with low to medium financial impact and/or risk. This position also provides customer satisfaction leadership, tracking and reporting; and ensures project alignment and adherence with Performance Excellence Lean Six Sigma standards, through collaboration and comprehensive assessment. Accomplishes assigned results for projects or for significant phases of larger, complex assignments.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of degree. Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible project management related experience that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prefer experience within a healthcare setting. Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Must be trained in the prescribed standards, methodologies, and frameworks of the company that are relevant to the project. Must be able to consistently apply Lean and six sigma standards and methodologies as appropriate to local environment, platform, or project. Must be able to demonstrate a working capability to document workflow current state, perform process audits and control; and analyze and manage reported issues through to resolution. Requires a working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires an understanding of process improvement in relation to hospital productivity. Requires the ability to manager all aspects of most projects throughout the project life cycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and changes. Must be able to provide customer satisfaction leadership, tracking and reporting; define, assemble and manage project time; communicate schedule variances and potential scope changes; perform cost/benefit analysis of actions/initiatives; facilitate team meetings, and translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks while managing task assignment to project resources and reporting on and managing project scope throughout the project life cycle. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
