Medicare Revenue Specialist
Under the direction of the Billing Supervisor and Coordinator this position is responsible for the accurate billing & collecting of Medicare claims to maximize reimbursement. This position is responsible for the complex billing and collecting of Medicare accounts in accordance with CMS Rules and Regulations as they pertain to MIHS policy and Procedure.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Must have at least three (3) years of hospital billing and Medicare collections experience. Must have current knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet designated deadlines is required. Must be able to manage time appropriately. Data comparison skills are necessary. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Must have knowledge of hospital billing forms and billing requirements. Needs to be familiar with Medicare's Direct Data Entry system.
