Job Summary:

Under the direct management of the Chief Compliance Officer, this position will perform a variety of internal audit functions (operational, financial, construction, regulatory and information systems audits) to ensure the successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up activities. Also applies enterprise-risk-management methodologies and internal control frameworks to key business processes and information systems to identify internal control deficiencies and/or opportunities for improvement. Communicates identified issues with senior management and the audit committee to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of degree. Requires at least three (3) years of healthcare, governmental and construction auditing or relevant work experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Requires certification in internal audit, construction auditing or information system auditing such as: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CCA (Certified Construction Auditor), CISA (Certified Information Systems Analyst) or equivalent certification within eighteen (18) months of employment. Requires a demonstrated knowledge of business ethics and internal audit standards, concepts and techniques, enterprise risk management, construction auditing, information system auditing and internal control frameworks. Must understand and be familiar with conducting internal audits for governmental agencies, large construction projects, academic healthcare systems and physician clinics. Must have ability to interface with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines. Must be able to work independently with minimal to no supervision. Must have strong project management, facilitation and presentation skills; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and excellent analytical skills to interpret quantitative and qualitative data. Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc.). Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
