  • Job Summary:

    Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor of Rehab and the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, this position is responsible for providing physical therapy treatment to patients. This position will instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients; plan, modify and coordinate treatments designed to help clients function independently; administer therapeutic exercises and modalities; observe patients and determine effects of treatments; fit and train patients in use of splints and orthotics; aid patients in dressing and grooming themselves; instruct patients and families in home programs and basic living skills; document all pertinent information in patient's medical record.


    Requires an Associates Degree in Applied Science. Must have a minimum of zero to one (0-1) year of experience in Physical Therapy. New graduates accepted. Physical Therapy Assistant License by the AZ Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required. Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff members. Requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet designated deadlines is required.
