  • Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy 340B Program Manager exists to provide ongoing program development and coordination support for the Federally Qualified Health Center - Look-a-Like and Disproportionate Share Hospital 340B Outpatient Purchasing and Retail/Contract Pharmacy Programs for Maricopa Integrated Health System. The 340B Program Manager's key areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to: oversight of 340B drug purchasing, inventory processes, monthly reporting, split-billing software maintenance, audits, contract pharmacy programs, and all areas of regulatory compliance.


    Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or other related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of degree. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of healthcare operations experience (e.g., purchasing, inventory management, pharmacy systems, analytics, etc.) that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prefer experience with client facing in hospitals and health system administration and/or consulting advisory role. Prefer 340B specialized training. Prefer CPhT Certification issued by PTCB and be licensed by the AZ State Board of Pharmacy. Must have demonstrated knowledge of 340B program regulatory and compliance procedures as well as program issues, trends and challenges. Must have knowledge of pharmacy systems, analytics requirements, and purchasing and inventory management within a healthcare environment. Must have the ability to analyze and report data in order to identify issues, trends or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. Must have effective organizational skills and flexibility to meet deadlines. Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale. Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener. Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes. Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker. Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders. Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities. Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and internet navigation. Must have ability to provide targeted communication, both verbal and written, to internal and external constituents. Must be self-motivated with an ability to work well with teams. Requires ability to work under minimal supervision. Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
